  1. Leaves me breathless, ANYTIME !!
Physically fit McG back is worth celebrating every day of the year 😉 !

  2. I was so deliriously happy when he came back in 2.22 looking like this! So very happy that he was healthy and fit again. And all the scenes with WF were just great. Loved it.

    • Yes, we all were relieved and very happy to see him back, healthy, fit and smiling again. The ending scene when he reunites with his friends and co-workers is still emotional and meaning to Alex’s fans. He’s a winner.

        • Magalex, my first comment was my decent, innocent and rational conscious mind. Like yours in your last comments…….but my Mcperv soul is wishing to be in the right place where the machine gun is, LOL! …….and I swear that every thursday, the first thing I look for in the pics is the thigh holster but I guess one thing “leads” to the other….

      • Marta, I like it and you’re right: he’s a winner because Alex is in RL a fighter and a hero….for me it was like the returns of a Phenix…..

    • I loved that he actually got a few licks in on WoFat for once which I think was sorely needed at the time. The fans really needed to feel some kind of progress and victory at this point and it was beautiful. ❤

  3. There will never be a day when these first pics of Alex being back after rehab will not make me happy. He looked so good in this episode and I loved the scene at the end when he hugged his team 🙂

    • ACA. The ending was super fantastic and perfect and Larry Tweeted that when Alex arrived on set the crew gave him a warm standing ovation and it’s just nice to know he was loved and welcomed back. Since we couldn’t do it. 😉

  4. My heart jumped for joy when I saw Alex back on set and the way he looked. 2.22 will always be one of my favourite episodes because of the comeback kid…now he is going from strength to strength

  5. Couldn’t agree more with you all.

I joined fandom – I mean, with everything that comes with that, sign up to a forum, search for pics, news, etc etc – about a month before Alex went into rehab. You all or at least most of you saw the signs long before, him fading away, you were kinda prepared, but for me the first article I read about this – “Alex O’Loughlin Gets Treatment for Prescription Pain Medication” on people.com – was a big shock.

During this month, when we all were between hope and anxiety, we talked a lot on our forum, about how we felt, about our thoughts and fears. There is a song in season 2 we listened to over and over again at this time: “The Best Of Me” from Goo Goo Dolls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6Gb_FgtSZc The first two lines of the chorus said it all, out of the song’s context, but that was it what helped me and others because we believed in it accoring to Alex: “Ain’t seen the best of me yet. Broke down and built myself again.” When I remember this time now, the coherence and support between us, I’m still touched.

This was also the time when I choose the quote for my twitter and FB profiles in fandom: “To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don’t worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest!”

To see him in those pics fit and healthy again was beyond description.

    • Wow Miracle, your comment really touched me because when I knew Alex has this medical issue….this terrible drug problem, I was so afraid and concerned, thinking about all the consequences in his life and the fact that not all the people could really healed or be released from this problem since it has, upon the medical researches, a genetic predisposition…..I thank God he could; that’s why I said he is a fighter and a hero ( for himself, for his family and for all of us).
…..I also thank God I found you girls because now I have friends to share my thoughts and feelings ( naughties and crazy …I know) but specially my love and admiration to this man :o)
